Since the MützigSTAR competition final, held on January 23, the music competition supported by the Mützig brand to discover and support young Cameroonian talents, Cathy Piqûre has not slowed down. Invited to perform at public and private events, festivals, showcases, and studio sessions, the artist is enjoying a particularly busy 2026.
A busy schedule across the country stages
In February, she was a guest at the Mbam Art et Développement festival. On May 20, she performed at the Palais de l’Unité alongside the Presidential Guard Orchestra, before joining the Bold Mützig tour in June, with stops in Saa and Bertoua. The artist then went on to perform at the Fashion Africa festival and the Miss Centre-Sud-Est final, before opening for MIMIE in July. On August 1, she headlined her own showcase, surrounded by several other artists.
In the studio with three new tracks
Since August, Cathy Piqûre has been working in the studio on three unreleased tracks under the direction of artist Cysoul, who will also direct the music videos. “Les pleurs d’une femme” offers renewed hope to women facing difficulties conceiving, “My Life” reflects on her own experiences, while “Ma pointure” reminds us that when it comes to love, everyone has their own tastes and affinities.
A recognition that is confirm
The artist also remains open to new opportunities and collaborations, and is actively applying to perform at new festivals. She was also nominated for the SGBC Awards 2026, another recognition that further confirms her growing standing on the Cameroonian music scene.
Nearly a year after her memorable appearance on MützigSTAR, Cathy Piqûre once again embodies the long-term support that the Mützig brand provides to the talents it discovers.
